EdTech Support & Training Specialist
About the role
The EdTech Support & Training Specialist is a pivotal hybrid role designed to drive technical support, seamless digital platform adoption, and effective learning management system (LMS) administration across enterprise training environments in Sydney. As organizations increasingly rely on complex software solutions, digital classrooms, and cloud-based learning infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operational delivery of educational technology becomes paramount. This position bridges technical helpdesk administration with end-user enablement, serving as the primary point of contact for technical troubleshooting, platform integration, and digital training facilitation for internal staff, corporate trainers, and external enterprise partners.
In this role, you will manage ticketed technical support requests specifically tailored to learning software, virtual classroom applications, digital assessment portals, and underlying cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with system administrators, IT support teams, software engineers, and instructional designers to ensure that educational applications remain highly available, secure, and user-friendly. By actively monitoring platform performance metrics, resolving tier-1 and tier-2 technical issues, and establishing automated helpdesk workflows, you will play an essential role in optimizing user experience and minimizing operational downtime during critical training initiatives.
Technical Administration & Knowledge Enablement
Beyond day-to-day issue resolution, the EdTech Support & Training Specialist takes charge of standardizing technical documentation, managing user permissions, and delivering targeted application support. You will be responsible for overseeing user onboarding, single sign-on (SSO) configurations, access management, and database synchronization across learning management systems such as Canvas, Moodle, or custom corporate LMS environments. Working directly with IT project managers, you will assist in testing platform updates, authoring knowledge-base articles, and creating interactive user guides that simplify complex technical workflows for non-technical users.
Additionally, this position involves conducting interactive virtual and in-person technical workshops for employees, corporate trainers, and administration teams. By analyzing recurring support ticket trends, you will identify technical friction points and design proactive training interventions to resolve user errors before they impact operations. You will also collaborate with cybersecurity and network infrastructure teams to ensure that all educational software tools adhere to Australian data privacy regulations, corporate security frameworks, and compliance standards, keeping user data safe while maintaining high accessibility.
Work Environment, Impact & Growth Opportunities
Operating within a collaborative and progressive environment, this position offers an exceptional opportunity to advance your technical career while making a tangible impact on organizational learning and digital adoption. Based out of state-of-the-art office facilities in Sydney CBD, the team benefits from a flexible hybrid working framework designed to support productivity, work-life balance, and cross-functional teamwork. The role provides direct visibility to senior technology leaders, offering continuous exposure to modern enterprise software, cloud environments, and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
Our client is deeply committed to long-term professional development, offering structured learning programs, industry certification support (such as ITIL, AWS, or Microsoft Certified Educator), and clear pathways for career progression into senior technical support, systems administration, or IT project management roles. If you are a dedicated IT support professional with a passion for software enablement, user education, and digital platform administration, this role provides an ideal platform to elevate your technical capabilities within a high-performing enterprise ecosystem.
