About

Embark on an unforgettable journey along Australiaโ€™s spectacular East Coast, sweeping from the vibrant harbor city of Sydney through wine valleys, sub-tropical rainforests, and pristine beaches, concluding in sunshine-soaked Brisbane. This carefully curated coastal route highlights the best of New South Wales and South East Queensland, offering a perfect mix of outdoor exploration, Indigenous heritage, native wildlife conservation, and regional culinary delights.

Day 1: Sydney to Hunter Valley

The journey begins in Sydney (Warrane), the traditional land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. Start with a guided walking tour of historic The Rocks, taking in viewings of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, Campbells Cove, and the Opera House while gaining deep insights into First Nations history and connection to land and water. In the afternoon, head north to the famous Hunter Valley wine region. Enjoy a sommelier-led wine tasting at one of Australiaโ€™s oldest vineyards before settling into the heart of the valley in Cessnock.

Day 2: Hunter Valley to Port Macquarie via Crowdy Bay National Park

Travel further along the scenic coastline toward Crowdy Bay National Park. Here, complete the popular Diamond Head Loop Hike (4.3 km)โ€”a scenic trail through heathland, paperbark forests, and dramatic coastal rock faces. Keep an eye out for migrating humpback whales off the coast and native mobs of Eastern Grey kangaroos relaxing near the shore. Conclude the day in the coastal town of Port Macquarie.

Day 3: Port Macquarie to Coffs Harbour / Red Rock

Begin the day with a visit to the world-renowned Port Macquarie Koala Hospital, a non-profit facility dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating sick and injured koalas. Meet the volunteers and learn about local wildlife conservation efforts. Afterwards, head to the tranquil coastal village of Red Rock on the Coffs Coast. Take part in a First Nations waterways experience with local Gumbaynggirr guides, learning about traditional marine life, ancient stories, and local language.

Day 4 & 5: Dorrigo National Park & Byron Bay

Journey into the World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests of Dorrigo National Park. Walk among ancient trees, stroll along the Skywalk lookout for panoramic rainforest canopy views, and visit the Rainforest Centre. Continue to Australiaโ€™s most famous surf town: Byron Bay. Take a walk up to the Cape Byron Lighthouseโ€”the easternmost point of mainland Australiaโ€”to spot dolphins, turtles, and whales. Spend free time learning to surf, kayaking with marine life, or sampling local organic coffee and dining.

Day 6 & 7: Springbrook National Park, Gold Coast & Brisbane

Visit "The Farm" in Byron Bay to learn about sustainable farming over breakfast before crossing into Queensland. Explore Springbrook National Park to trek the Natural Bridge circuitโ€”a natural basalt cave carved out by a waterfall. Enjoy brief beach relaxation on the Gold Coastโ€™s famous Surfers Paradise before finishing the journey in Brisbane.
