About This Event

Adelaide ADL Fashion Week 2026 is a five day celebration of fashion design creativity and the South Australian fashion industry, taking place across Adelaide City and North Adelaide from 7 to 11 October 2026. The official festival program includes more than 30 events, bringing together designers, labels, retailers, creatives, industry professionals and fashion lovers through runway shows, showcases, workshops, conversations, shopping experiences, dining collaborations, sustainability focused activities and parties.

A Five Day Celebration of Fashion

Returning for its fifth year, ADL Fashion Week is designed to bring audiences closer to the people, places and creative processes behind South Australian fashion. Rather than focusing only on traditional runway presentations, the 2026 festival connects fashion with Adelaide's retail, hospitality, cultural and creative communities. The program provides opportunities for audiences to discover established designers as well as emerging creative talent.

The 2026 campaign, The Threads Between Us, reflects the connections between designers, makers, businesses, venues and audiences that contribute to Adelaide's fashion culture. Five headline runway experiences form an important part of the festival, alongside independently produced events taking place throughout the city and North Adelaide.

Runway Experiences and Local Designers

Runway events give visitors an opportunity to experience South Australian fashion directly and discover collections from a range of local labels and designers. One confirmed 2026 event is the South Australian Showcase The Threads Between Us Runway, scheduled at Adelaide Town Hall on 8 October 2026. The showcase features emerging and established South Australian designers and celebrates the variety of design, craftsmanship and individual creative approaches found across the state.

Adelaide Town Hall is located at 128 King William Street in the Adelaide city centre. The venue is an important cultural and civic location and provides an established setting for major events and performances.

Fashion Across Adelaide

ADL Fashion Week is a city based festival rather than an event confined to one venue. The official program confirms that activities take place across Adelaide City and North Adelaide, using fashion, retail, hospitality and cultural spaces throughout the area.

Another confirmed 2026 experience is The Centre Is Your Runway at Rundle Place, 77 to 91 Rundle Mall. Running throughout the festival from 7 to 11 October, this free fashion exhibition presents the work of South Australia's emerging design talent in partnership with TAFE SA. Visitors can experience the installation during published centre opening hours without booking.

The festival also extends into Adelaide's food and cultural scene. The FAB Extravaganza at Adelaide Central Market on 11 October combines fashion, art, beauty, food, live performances and runway showcases, demonstrating the wider cultural format of the festival.

Opportunities for the Fashion Industry

ADL Fashion Week provides opportunities for both emerging and established members of the fashion industry. Designers can participate through the official runway program, while businesses, venues and creatives can contribute through associated events and collaborations. The Industry Hub describes the festival as a platform for connection, creativity, visibility and industry development.

The festival is presented by the Adelaide Economic Development Agency, a subsidiary of the City of Adelaide, with support from the South Australian Fashion Industry Association. Its program is intended to strengthen connections between the fashion industry, local businesses and audiences while contributing to Adelaide's creative and visitor economy.

An Event for Fashion Lovers and the Public

ADL Fashion Week is not limited to fashion professionals. The official festival information states that the program is designed for industry participants as well as the wider public, including fashion lovers, creatives, local businesses and people interested in experiencing something new in Adelaide.

Visitors can choose from runway experiences, exhibitions, workshops, conversations, retail activities, dining experiences and other creative events. Because individual activities have their own venues, times and ticket requirements, attendees should check the official program for the specific event they plan to attend.

Discover Adelaide Through Fashion

The festival also provides an opportunity to experience Adelaide's city centre and North Adelaide through a fashion focused program. Events are distributed across different locations, allowing visitors to combine fashion experiences with shopping, dining, hospitality and cultural activities.

With its combination of established designers, emerging talent, independent events and city partnerships, Adelaide ADL Fashion Week 2026 presents a broad program focused on fashion and the creative industries. The festival runs from 7 to 11 October 2026 and features more than 30 events and five headline runways across Adelaide and North Adelaide.
