The Temple Christian College Difference: Pursuing Excellence for the Glory of God
At Temple Christian College, our core mandate is captured in our motto: "Pursuing excellence for the glory of God." We believe that education is not merely about accumulating knowledge, but about shaping character, cultivating purpose, and discovering personal gifts within a biblical worldview.
Unlike secular educational institutions, Christian faith is seamlessly woven into daily life, classroom learning, creative arts, leadership development, and sporting programs at Temple. We welcome students from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, encouraging them to develop a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ while pursuing high academic standards.
Whether your teenager is passionate about advanced mathematics, creative writing, performing arts, competitive athletics, trades and vocational training, or digital technologies, Temple Christian College offers specialized pathways that honor every student's individual learning style and career aspirations.
Our History & Heritage: Over 40 Years of Educational Impact
The story of Temple Christian College began in 1983. Founded as a ministry of Adelaide Christian Centre, the school was established by visionary parents and church leaders who saw a pressing need for a faith-based secondary school that balanced spiritual growth with uncompromising educational standards.
Starting with a small cohort of dedicated teachers and enthusiastic students, Temple Christian College steadily earned a reputation throughout South Australia for its warm community culture, outstanding pastoral care, and strong academic outcomes.
Over the decades, the college expanded its physical footprint to meet growing enrolment demand across Adelaide:
-
Mile End Campus: Situated just minutes from the Adelaide CBD, our flagship campus provides state-of-the-art facilities serving inner city, western, and eastern suburban families.
-
Paralowie Campus: Established to serve the northern Adelaide region, offering expansive grounds, modern learning centers, and strong community partnerships.
-
Marion Campus: A vibrant Middle School environment catering specifically to the developmental needs of students in Adelaide's southern suburbs.
Today, Temple Christian College stands as an integral part of Adelaide's independent education sector, having graduated thousands of young men and women who continue to make positive contributions across business, healthcare, technology, ministry, education, and the arts.
