Background and History: Celebrating the Canberra Wine Region

The Canberra District wine region holds a unique place in Australian viticulture. Boasting a cool continental climate characterized by warm summer days, crisp alpine-influenced nights, and elevated terrains, the region produces wines of exceptional elegance, intense flavor profiles, and remarkable longevity—particularly world-class Shiraz, Riesling, and Viognier.

Merry Heart CBR was founded out of a deep-seated passion for this vibrant local landscape and a desire to make its treasures accessible to everyone. Recognizing that navigating rural winery trails independently can prevent members of a party from fully enjoying the hospitality, our founders set out to build a safe, convivial, and comprehensive transport and touring solution.

Over the years, Merry Heart CBR has grown into a trusted staple of the local tourism ecosystem. We have built enduring, collaborative relationships with iconic family-owned vineyards, modern cellar doors, regional providores, and craft beverage makers across the ACT and New South Wales border regions (such as Murrumbateman and Lake George). Our history is written in the smiling faces of thousands of happy guests, the warm praise of glowing online reviews, and our ongoing dedication to supporting regional Australian agriculture and tourism.
