Mad Dance House

Located right in the cultural and commercial heartbeat of the Brisbane CBD at 43 Adelaide Street, Mad Dance House (MDH) is Brisbane’s premier destination for movement, expression, and community. Affectionately known by locals simply as "Madhouse," our studio is a vibrant, inclusive sanctuary where absolute beginners take their very first steps and seasoned professionals refine their craft. Whether you want to master a new skill, boost your fitness through rhythm, connect with a welcoming community, or express yourself creatively, Mad Dance House provides an electrifying space to move, grow, and thrive.

Our Background and Philosophy: A Culture of Inclusivity and Passion

Mad Dance House was built on a singular, powerful belief: that dance is for everyone, regardless of age, background, or prior experience. Over the years, we have grown into the cornerstone of Brisbane's urban and contemporary dance scene, championing a culture free of judgment and full of encouragement.

We recognize that stepping into a dance studio for the first time can feel intimidating. That is why our entire philosophy centers around warmth, accessibility, and high-energy support. Our faculty comprises some of Australia's most respected choreographers, performers, and industry innovators who bring world-class technical knowledge and infectious passion into every single class. At MDH, you aren't just learning choreography—you are joining a passionate, lifelong family of movers.

What Makes Mad Dance House Special?

In a bustling city with numerous fitness and recreation options, Mad Dance House stands apart through its unmatched community spirit, diverse styles, and professional infrastructure. What makes our studio special includes:

• Truly All-Inclusive Environment: While we cater heavily to adult dancers (17+) looking to learn, explore, or reignite a childhood passion, we maintain an open-door policy where absolute beginners are celebrated just as much as advanced performers.

• Massive Variety of Styles: From urban street styles and commercial choreography to technical contemporary, ballet, jazz, and heels classes, our timetable covers an extensive spectrum of movement.

• Prime CBD Location: Situated at 43 Adelaide Street, our studios are easily accessible via central bus and train networks, making it simple to drop in before work, during lunch, or after hours.

• Iconic Annual Showcases: We give our students incredible performance opportunities on major professional stages—such as QUT Gardens Theatre and The Loft—allowing dancers to experience the thrill of live production.
